Minnesota fishing guide for Crappies, Panfish, Northern Pike, Bass, Catfish, Walleyes, Muskies and Multispecies.  Fishing Fish Lake Reservoir, Swan Lake, Upper St. Louis River, Lake Vermilion, Big Sandy Lake, and many others.

Bass Fishing Trips:  half or full day trips targetting largemouth or smallmouth bass on lakes/rivers in our area.  Learn bass fishing techniques from plastics, topwaters, and spinnerbaits for beginners or new to the area or just a great day on the water. 

 

Multispecies Fishing Trips:  catch bass, northern pike, panfish, catfish, etc.  We put you on the hot bites and catch fish.  Nothing is more FUN for kids and any anglers then fish tugging on the line.  Lots of fish, photos and releases. 

OR mix in some bird hunting, Cast-n-Blast Trip, for woodcock or ruffed grouse on leased property.  Only during open hunting seasons.

 

Take-a-Kid Fishing Trips:  for kids under 18, must have an adult (parent, guardian, grandparent, etc.) with.  We will arrange a half or full day of fishing, where the bite is perfect for kids and action.  We'll get something good tugging their line and the kids wrestling with fish. 

 

Catfishing:  from shore trips on rivers in the area, including the upper St. Louis River for channel cats.

Camping / Fishing Trip:   Friday - Sunday fishing trip, local great fishing lake, guided fishing, Saturday all day, Sunday morning.  

Camping equipment provided:  Tents, meals, coolers, ice, water, insect repellent, 

Fishing equipment provided:  Same as above. 

 

Combinations:  Bass fish for the day, then catfish the evening, or overnight camping and fishing.  Cast-n-Blast fishing and bird hunting trips.  Call to customize a trip to what you would like.

 

Ice Fishing Trips:   great ice fishing for numbers of crappies, bluegills, and northern pike.  Tipup bites, jigs, all artificial, etc.

If you have your own ice fishing gear, great bring it and save or let us know and we can provide it all.  With enough lead time we'll find more ice shelters if needed for big groups. 

 

Amenities:

My guide service includes the boat, fishing rods, reels, tackle, bait, plenty of fishing tips, life preservers, and photos of your catch for up to 3 anglers per boat.  We encourage Catch Photo Release and bring a digital camera with, to take plenty of photos for you.  If you decide to keep some fish for a meal, I will clean your fish for you and package the fresh fillets for the trip home. Meals are available with the overnight trips only.  I can arrange for larger groups of anglers with advance notice if you would like, I can also suggest lodging options for your trip. 

 

The boats:

The boats I use are a couple of the most comfortable and versatile fishing machines on the market today. 

When on larger waters and especially for tournaments I use my 21' Triton TR209 powered by a reliable Mercury 225 h.p. outboard.  It has a Humminbird 898csi with side and bottom imaging and gps on the dash and two other units on board.  It has the Lake Master chip for our area and is an awesome unit.  It also has a Minnkota 101 lb Maxum bow mount trolling motor. And a 15 h.p. Mercury kicker, lots of room, two livewells, etc. 

When on smaller waters the boat I use is a 17' Lund 1700 Pro-Sport powered by a reliable 90 h.p. Yamaha outboard and a Minnkota trolling motor with autopilot and sonar.  The boat is loaded with the latest equipment such as G.P.S. navigation and side and bottom imaging Humminbird unit loaded with a Navionics chip, multiple fish locators and graphs. 

Both boats comfortably fish up to 3 anglers!  I have a cellular phone to keep in touch and for emergencies.  Everybody that has fished from either of my boats has enjoyed it!
